Wink iPad

Is there any chance that Raven, or parts of it, will ever be ported to iPad??
Looks like the iPad would make a decent field visualizer...
Regards

Martin,

Anything is possible, but there is nothing currently in plan for this.

Hi there Martin,

Thanks for asking - this might become a popular request and certain is worth considering. The current way to do this is to run Raven on a "full" computer and use iPad as an interface through the web-browser vpn feature. The downside to that is you can't record to Raven using the iPad (or open any of the sounds on the iPad itself) but that can be overcome with some clever file transfer techniques I think. For Raven to run on iPad or iPhone as a whole app will involve a lot of development on new coding basis and would take a lot more time.

Everything is possible, and I hope this idea that I quite like will be brought to life, as I am a keen IPad user and make use of it much more often than my PC since I am always on the go.

Martin,

I'm currently looking at Windows tablets as a first step to Raven on a tablet, then Android tablets since Android supports Java, then iPad/iOS since that would require a rewrite of the software.

Raven should run on Windows tablets, but the Raven developers do not have any immediate plans to port Raven to iOS.
