The Bioacoustics Community now has its own publicly accessible Question and Answer site:

Bioacoustics Stack Exchange

Bioacoustics Stack Exchange is a searchable forum where users can ask & answer technical questions about Bioacoustics.  This is a free resource for scientists, managers, students, enthusiasts, and the curious. Even though it is new, it has proven to be a great platform for increasing communication and knowledge between scientists who study terrestrial and marine species around the world.

How can you participate?

– JOIN: https://bioacoustics.stackexchange.com/

– VISIT: Make it a habit of checking a few minutes weekly (or daily?)

– ASK: Have a new question? What about your older questions? You can even ask/answer your own question! These questions will be archived for future use, so ALL good questions are welcome!

– ANSWER: Have an answer to one of the questions, or additional information? Is there a question you are often asked? If someone asks you a question– tell them you will answer it on the Stack Exchange!

– VOTE: Is a question or answer useful or helpful? VOTE it up!

– SITE MANAGEMENT: This site is run by the community. Join us on the meta site to discuss the site itself https://bioacoustics.meta.stackexchange.com/

– INVITE: Invite others to join, encourage your students and colleagues to participate, consider integrating the Bioacoustics Stack Exchange into your coursework!
